EQUIPPO ANNOUNCES ITS BIGGEST AUCTION IN BELGIUM

by

After venturing into the auction business last year and having two successful sales where hundreds of lots were sold, Equippo - once called the Zalando for excavators - announced the third edition of the “Equippo Auction” to be held in Zeebrugge, Belgium on May 23, 2019. This is aligned with Equippo’s expansion efforts which aimed to offer a multichannel solution for their clients.

Michael Rohmeder - Equippo’s founder and CEO explains: “Our first auction helped us to get set up in terms of business strategy and bidding software, the second one allowed us to prove our clients - buyers and sellers - we can deliver what we promise and the third one will show everybody that Equippo is ready to go big!” He continues: “We want to disrupt the equipment market delivering a high quality service which will allow us to stand out from our competitors.”

The auction will take place at Equippo's permanent yard strategically located in Zeebrugge, meters away from the biggest Ro-Ro port of the world. The proximity to the port and the presence of loading and unloading facilities make it extremely easy for Equippo’s clients to deliver and pickup machines. The yard’s doors will soon be open to host machine previews and tests following Equippo’s compromise with transparency.

Everything is getting ready for the big day, the yard already shows more than two hundred lots lined up and Equippo’s team is coordinating the last details to receive bidders on Thursday the 23rd. Francois Boucher - Equippo’s vice president commented: “We are very excited about our next auction, our yard has been receiving machines on a daily basis from several important companies such as Loxam, Eurolev and Access Industries. This will definitely be the biggest auction we have had so far.”

On the day of the event bidders can choose to participate live from the Belgian yard or online via Equippo’s user friendly website.
